5 Things We Know On A Sunday

5 Things brought to you by our great partners in Red River, New Mexico – Lifts West Hotel and Condominium. The perfect place to stay, winter or summer. Ski in, or “fish out” as I say in the summer. Not too late maybe for a great Spring Break vacation there. Give them a call, ask for Billy and tell them Raiderland in Lubbock sent you!

5 Things We Know On A Sunday

  1. The best thing about the month of March? It ain’t February. Nothing against that little month, but it’s a “Get-Through” thing. Just get through it so we can get on with Spring, get on with March Madness, get on with Baseball, and get on with not having to wear a parka in the morning and short-sleeves in the afternoon. My sinuses thank you, end of February.
  2. Mark Brandenburg is the best Texas Tech baseball player that most folks who consider themselves great Texas Tech fans know nothing about.
  3. Top 3 Dwight Yoakam Songs: 3. I Sang Dixie. 2. Two Doors Down. 1. Miner’s Prayer.
  4. It doesn’t make you a bad person if you vote for Bernie Sanders. It makes you a bad person if you believe in his policies and want to implement them upon others.
  5. Lubbock doesn’t have a signature place to get chicken fried steak. That’s a shame. That should be on a billboard as you come into town. While City Hall is wasting millions of dollars on Economic Development, what folks really want is great chicken fried steak. On a big sign.
