5 Things We Know On A Sunday

  1. If you got kids in school and you live in Texas and they don’t talk about the Alamo tomorrow; it’s time to reconsider where you send your kids to school. Remember The Alamo!
  2. It’s entirely possible, if not probable, that the most productive and impactful thing I do today is change out the air filter for the H/AC. This time of year in West Texas it’s like getting a brand new unit. If you haven’t looked at your filter in the past week or two; I suggest you do so.
  3. Top 3 Alan Jackson Songs: No.3. Midnight In Montgomery. No.2. Murder On Music Row with George Strait. No.1. Wanted.
  4. After the past few weeks, I can completely understand how prairie dirt storms a century ago could drive folks insane. The incessant sound of the wind blowing the dirt is awful. I can’t imagine sitting in a clap-board house with no white noise from a radio or tv, just the blowing of the dirt hour after hour. Again, proving that we are lessers compared to the men and women of the early 1900s through the Greatest American Generation. We are soft.
  5. I still say Richard Petty is the last cool guy in sports.
