5/8/23 Raiderland Question O’ The Day – Texas Tech Baseball

Presented in part by Premier Sportsplex in Lubbock. The Game Is On. So are great summer programs for kids and adults alike. Check out their site for more details!

Happy Monday, y’all!

For those who may not know, we wrapped a fun 4.5 year run on Talk 103.9 FM in Lubbock and ESPN 960 in San Angelo. Rob Breaux, who is now on live M,W,F at 8 A.M. on the Gamblin Gaucho’s YouTube and Twitter channels, and I both decided it was time to focus more on our digital content. And so, here we are. We’re still doing radio, just not doing radio on a radio station.

That said, one of our components of the radio show was the Question O’ The Day. Sometimes sports-related, sometimes not. We’re going to continue doing that right here, with your ability to add your comments just like how you texted in the show each day. So, let’s get going.

Monday’s Question O’ The Day: If you could add any one player from the past, recent or as far back as you can remember, to this year’s Texas Tech Baseball team – who would you add and why? Do you ant another starting pitcher? Do you want a reliever? Do you want a power bat or a slick fielder with speed? Which former Red Raider great would make the biggest difference for this team for the rest of the season?

Fire away, have fun with it and share it with a friend or two if you don’t mind.

We’ll see you tonight around 6:30ish on the Daily Broadcast on Twitter Live.

  1. Stephen Gingery, dominate pitcher cut down before he could show all his stuff. We have the offense and most of the pitching, but could use one more dominate arm to start the game.

    • Man, Gingery could deal.
      Loved watching him “pitch”.
      Really mature on the mound.
7 IP to start the weekend or regional
from Gingery would be impactful to say the least.

  2. In the context of this year, we need a dominant pitcher or 2 but I think we need a leader who isn’t afraid to get in someone’s ass. Someone who leads by example and carries a big stick. Eric Gutierrez seems like just the person we need…IMO I wouldn’t turn down Shane Wright, however.

    • Both Eric and Shane could play right now.
I’d say Wright would be good for 6 solid innings.
I mean he is in his mid-40s now…
