5 Things We Know On A Sunday
- It’s Back-To-School Time. Time. We’ll hear a lot about Time Management in the next few days for students and parents alike. You don’t manage time. You maximize it. Time is our most valuable resource. When you disrespect someone by being late, I think it’s the most disrespectful thing you can do to another person. They can make more money, buy things that are stolen, but if you steal their time by being late, you’ve taken something they can never get back. Ever. Be on time this week. Be respectful. It’s time.
- It’s a lot easier to get excited, angry, worried, frustrated and publicly demonstrative in your actions about things you can’t control as opposed to do the same about things you can control. The first absolves you of responsibility. Say what you want, it doesn’t matter; but you might “look” good. The second requires that you actually do something and take responsibility for your own actions and impact. By the way, I just explained most cable “news shows” to you in thirty seconds.
- Top 3 Songs Start Of Your Senior Year (Mine): No. 3. “Luka” Suzanne Vega. No. 2. “La Bamba” Los Lobos. No. 1. “Who’s That Girl” Madonna. —-Y’all post yours in the comments below. This could get good. Looking back, not a great week of songs for me going back to school….
- In addition to the normal fire alarm sound of the high-pitched beep ( only heard at 3.AM when batteries go bad ) another great warning sound would be that of car keys knocking around in the dryer.
- Meanwhile, back at school, if you can name more Dallas Cowboys players than your kid’s teachers – you’re not doing it right.
