5 Things We Know On A Sunday
- Pizza Rolls never fail to deliver. No matter the flavor or the brand, seriously, they’re gonna be pizza rolls and do exactly what you want them to do. Be super hot when you take them out of the over, be oozing cheese and whatnot and then taste exactly not like a pizza; but still great. Then you dip in blue cheese or ranch or whatever and you call it good. Question? Why can you never get pizza rolls as an appetizer at a sports bar or some-such place? They’d be a huge profit-margin item and folks world order them by the dozen. In a world where the hot wing has begun to wane… it’s time for the Pizza Roll to take its rightful culinary place. When you go to your favorite places, ask for Pizza Rolls. Let’s make it happen!
- We absolutely love Christmas and Christmas movies. We celebrate the Hallmark Channel and their annual Countdown To Christmas each year. (Pro-Tip: Look for Checking It Twice... a great Hockey/Christmas Movie) That said, this year Hallmark is starting the Countdown starts on October 17. That’s too early. Even for me. I celebrate those who are fighting back. I won’t watch a Hallmark Christmas Movie until November 1. That’s plenty early from a movie stand-point. Never mind the fact their movies have begun to stink out loud the last couple of years. Still…. we love Christmas. Just give me until November first!
- Ronald Reagan was right then and he’s right today…”The trouble with our Liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.” I would submit today though, that it’s willful on the part of liberals and what they choose to know that isn’t so, is because they want it to be that way so they reject what they know to be true. They aren’t interested in truth. They’re only interested in furthering failing agendas at any costs. Reagan would have a field day in 2025 pointing out the hypocrisy. Once again, it seems, it’s a Time For Choosing.
- I’m proudly to the point in life where I have to ask my wife or son if a person in a TV commercial is famous or not. Just happened with a recent State Farm ad featuring Patrick Mahomes and some blonde singer. It’s called Trainer vs. Trainor and features, the apparently very famous singer Meghan Trainor. It’s funny. It became even more funny when I was told she was actually quite famous. I take great pride in having no idea who she is. This is one of the perks of being outside of the coveted 25-54 Demo for advertisers. Old Dudes Rule.
- The arrogance of man. We think we can eradicate diseases and make everyone healthy with every drug, pill, potion or injection; but we still can’t get rid of skeeters. . .
