5 Things We Know On A Sunday

  1. We’ve got ourselves a brand-new month to work with starting today. Plenty of chances to let go of one useless habit or activity and replace it with something more productive in your life. What are y’all looking at doing this month? I haven’t learned a new song on guitar in a while. Gonna set a standard that by the end of February I can play at least four new songs with decent ability. If you’ve got any song requests, put them in the comments. I’ll update as the month goes along.
  2. I can’t be the only person out there who really isn’t interested in watching Taylor Sheridan’s latest continuation of the Yellowstone franchise, right? The mere fact that it’s on CBS and not a streaming service means it’s gonna be cleaned up and sterile. That isn’t Sheridan’s wheelhouse. At least America gets another “crime show” on TV. Because we sorely don’t have near enough of those.
  3. The person who creates a business model where folks come out and play mahjong for an hour and then pickleball for an hour after that will make millions of dollars. I’m still convinced pickleball was created by chiropractors and orthopedic surgeons to ensure a steady stream of new clients in the 40s and 50s.
  4. It’s most interesting how “State’s Rights” has suddenly become fashionable again for the Democrat Party for the first time since the 1850s and 1860s. Perhaps they are using the wrong flag?
  5. Overheard: “Never confuse change and evolution with crisis”. A good reminder that for so many of us, we look at huge changes in the business world or just life and automatically categorize it as chaos and crisis. From Artificial Intelligence to so many other aspects in this world, we need to embrace the change as the opportunity to improve every aspect of what we do. Remember, some folks hated the automobile. Make change work for you, don’t let it act upon you.
