Happy Friday, Y’all !

It was a great night to be David Bailey. Not only does he become the second highest drafted Red Raider of all-time, but he also made a fan for life with my Mom when he flashed Guns Up after signing his rookie card there on stage. It’s the little moments like that you’ll remember!

No shock that Bailey went number two, but lots of “experts” during the day tried to infuse drama into the first few picks by proclaiming Arvell Reese as the man for New York. Not so. He hung around til the Giants got him a few picks later.

Now we wait to hear names like Jacob Rodriguez, Cole Wisneski, Romello Height and Lee Hunter hopefully get called tonight.

We’ll break down the NFL Draft, look at Texas Tech Baseball at home vs OSU in the George Strait Weekend Series, all games at 1pm to avoid conflict and Tech Softball at Arizona State. We can even talk Stanley Cup Playoffs if you want!

Join The Daily Broadcast LIVE at 5:30 Central tonight via Twitter/X, YouTube or Facebook. All platforms always free!

If you missed a fun Thursday night show, check it out right here.

Get your comments and questions ready to go and let’s see who can predict where Jacob Rodriguez ends up tonight.

Most Texan Thing

Every Friday we have one question waiting for y’all here in Raiderland.

What’s The Most Texan Thing You’ve Done This Week?

Big or small, the world needs more Texans doing Texan Things.

Fire away with your stories in the comments below and share on social media. Bonus points for those of you doing Texan Things outside the State of Texas. Those folks need you to be a great Ambassador.

As for us, we retired our Sesquicentennial Belt Buckle this week for another year. We wear it from the start of the Alamo Siege until San Jacinto Day.

Get those stories in and we’ll discuss tonight on The Daily Broadcast.
