5 Things We Know On A Sunday

  1. The older I get the more convinced I am that God gives us yards and lawns to teach us patience and humility. Think you’re in control of your universe? We give you weeds, crabgrass, grub worms, drought, dogs that like to pee in the same spot, and countless other obstacles. Just like life. Be humble and try the best you can to grow something pretty. Sounds like raising kids all of a sudden….
  2. We have six, one month-old kittens at the house right now. I never really thought our house was small until now. . . Anyone need a cat????
  3. Top 3 Rejected Mother’s Day Cards: No. 3. Dear Mom, Sorry About The Car. No. 2. Dear Mom, I’ve Got Some Things To Tell You About Dad. No. 1. Dear Mom, We’re Moving Back In!
  4. Have y’all noticed how many white cars and trucks there are out on the road today? We are guiltily as all of our trucks and cars are white now. When did this happen in West Texas? I pulled up at a light in Lubbock the other day and counted 18 white cars and trucks around me. Any of y’all white car/truck owners? I remember when you didn’t want a white car or truck ’cause it would always look dirty. Wonder what changed in our purchasing habits?
  5. Thank you Mom. I’ll never be able to repay you for everything you have given me and our family! The best I can do is tell you that I married a woman who is every bit the great Mom to our son that you are to me! Happy Mother’s Day!
