Happy Friday, Y’all !

It’s great to be back in West Texas!

We love our time in the mountains, can’t wait to get there; but when it is time to get home I’m all about it.

We’ve also got a great weekend to look forward to so that helps.

It starts this afternoon with Texas Tech Softball in action against ASU at 3pm in OKC at the Big 12 Tournament. They got past Baylor Thursday afternoon and the bigger story so far is the weather has been good! That’s the only drawback about having the Softball or Baseball tournament in OKC. You just know at some point you’ll have to dodge the late Spring storms. Here’s hoping it stays dray for a few more days.

Texas Tech Baseball hosts UCF tonight and it’s another chance for guys to audition for roles at the Big 12 Tournament in Arlington here in two weeks. Find your hottest nine, find six or seven hot pitchers and roll with them as much as your can for Four Days In May. Mac Heuer starts tonight and if he can get past the second inning, he’s looked good lately. Would be great to see him go two trips through the order with limited pitch count tonight in the first two innings. Do that and he can hang around for five or more.

We’ll talk about that and much more on The Daily Broadcast with y’all this evening LIVE at 6:30 Central on X, YouTube and Facebook. All platforms FREE, so subscribe to each one and never miss a thing.

Last night we talked extensively about the new Trump Presidential Commission that will feature Texas Tech Board of Regents Chairman Cody Campbell. He saves that “only Congress and the President can save college sports”. We asked last night a couple of questions. Give the show a watch and let us know what you think!

Most Texan Thing

Each Friday we ask one simple question:

What’s The Most Texan Thing You’ve Done This Week?

For us, it was easy. Just walk around New Mexico for a few days being a Texan. Of course that’s easy to do in Red River. They love Texans, unlike other parts of the state. That said, there’s a lot of Texans and West Texans in Red River, so that makes it easier. We sometimes wonder what would have happened if Texas had held on to their 1836 borders that included parts of New Mexico. The map would have looked goofy though, and make for a really awkward belt buckle, so it’s probably best we let it go.

So what about you?

What did you do this week that you consider really Texan? Big or Small, tell us in the comments below and then you can brag in person tonight on The Daily Broadcast.
