Happy Tuesday, Y’all !
The Texas Tech MBB team gets another chance to prove that life without J.T. Toppin can still be good tonight as they welcome in Cincinnati for a 6:00 ESPN2 game in Lubbock. It won’t be easy. Certainly won’t be like a disheveled Kansas State team from this past weekend.
This is a Bearcats team that has put together quality wins like they did against Kansas at The Phog. They won’t be intimated by the United Supermarkets Arena environment one would think. They’ll also provide a much better defensive challenge for Texas Tech. This is really where we find out if teams will still respect the Red Raider inside game without Toppin. Otherwise, expect the three-point line to get a little clogged with defenders. Which means… hi there ball-fake and drive. 15-footers and lay-ups still count ya know!
We’ve got not Texas Tech Baseball today since they played four games over the weekend. That’s fine. This team needs a few days to put into practice what they learned from the first 8 games. Practice time can be hard to find in college baseball this time of year with non-conference games and travel. So not a bad thing at all to continue to define some roles.

Which shows have stood the test of time for you? Which seem dated now and don’t make the cut. Again, depending on how old you are, 25 years doesn’t seem like much…until you do the calendar math… I hate doing that math sometimes.
