5 Things We Know On A Sunday
- As the great Paul Simon once sang, “When I think back on all the crap I learned in high school, it’s a wonder I can think at all…” As the kids go back to to school it go me thinking the high school class that has carried the most value going forward in my life may be the typing class I took my sophomore year. Doing what I’ve done over the years it has been an every-day work tool. It may shock you, but I don’t do much algebra. I do type. I wonder what the typing skills are for the under 30-set these days? If y’all have kids or grandkids, let us know if any of them can type.
- There may be no prouder man than then man who has completed his Summer project and has a new outdoor kitchen and living space. Here’s to you Outdoor Kitchen Man! Thanks for the great steaks Saturday night!
- We are happy to report, that after re-watching a few old Phineas and Ferb episodes over the last week that the animated series the premiered in 2007 has stood the test of time! Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh gave us gift back then. One of the great things we got to share with our son was him growing up on that show. I hope all of y’all have a show like that that relates back to your kids that you secretly or not so secretly enjoyed. Thanks guys. And hey, where’s Perry?
- If you want to find out how dusty your house is, get a new vacuum cleaner.
- I feel bad for September. It gets nothing. The stores are already putting out Halloween and other Fall related stuff. I get it. You’ve got to sell something on those seasonal aisles and September just isn’t doing the work. Made up Labor Day holiday doesn’t exactly come with anything other than last chance grilling specials. September needs something. It should be Football. Everything in the stores should be Football themed right now. Someone should get to work on this.
