5 Things We Know On A Sunday

  1. I’ll put 1990-1995 country music up against any era of any kind of music. You might be able to match it, but you’re not going to beat it.
  2. I still hate the fact that Bill Cosby ruined my ability to enjoy Cliff Huxtable as a great TV dad.
  3. Top 3 Father/Son Movie Moments. No.3 “We named the dog Indiana”. No. 2 “Luke, I am your father.”. No. 1 “Hey dad, you wanna have a catch?”.
  4. Best Father/Son sports duo? Harry Caray and Skip Caray.
  5. You never stop being a Dad. No matter how old my son gets, no matter how old I get; he’ll never stop being my son. He’ll probably get tired of that one day, Maybe even now! I get it. That’s the cool thing about being a Dad. It never really ends. In fact, you can always be a Dad to someone. Let that be a goal for you for the next year. You can have that kind of influence on someone else, no matter your age or their age. I’ve been lucky to have the influence of several “Dads” in my life. Some of them know it, some of them don’t. This next year, there’s someone you can still be a Dad to, whether they’re your own child or not. It’s pretty simple. It’s the example our Father set for us from day one of The Word to Everlasting. Happy Father’s Day out there to all the great Dads and thank you to Tessa and Reed for making me a Dad!!!!

  1. 1. Showing my age here, but 80-85 Country for me. Fond memories of fishing w/ my Father and Grandfather w/ old Merle Haggard playing in the background.
    2. Charles Ingalls will always be my TV Dad, but Red Foreman is a close second.
    3. Field of Dreams for sure … that, β€œHey dad, you wanna have a catch?” gets me every single time.
    4. Ken Griffey and Ken Griffey Jr.
    5. Amen! Happy Father’s Day!

  2. My dad turned 80 on June 17th…the day before Father’s Day. I am blessed to have him, even though, I still have a secret cavity in my rear end from his foot being inserted there. I earned it!!! And he, thankfully, delivered.

Being a dad is dang cool and maybe I can add to my inventory! If you know, you know!
