Brought to you in part by The Shropshire Agency in Lubbock. Independent, just like West Texans. Check out their very inter-active Facebook Page and see what they can do for you!

5 Things We Know On A Sunday

  1. Observation. There may be no pressure greater on a “Boy Mom” than making sure he looks more than presentable when heading off to his Prom.
  2. One more Prom thought for the younger crowd. If you really want to see some dancing, just go throw MTV’s Greatest Hits from 1983-1986 on the turntable and you’ll see some dancing out there on the floor. That or a continuous loop of George Strait and The Maines Brothers. That’s all you need.
  3. Top 3 Ways To Make A Gazillion Dollars In Lubbock. Bring Back These Three Items. No. 3. The Garter Margarita at El Chico’s (Hat-Tip Wife). No. 2. The original blueberry muffins from The Gridiron/50-Yard Line Steakhouse. The nearly go enshrined in the SWC Hall of Fame by state-wide sportswriters. No. 1. The “Pink Pig” from The White Pig. Anyone who puts these items on their menu gets my $$$ fast.
  4. I feel like I should be more excited about this eclipse tomorrow. But it’s barely on my radar of Things To Do for Monday. I feel like I got to see Haley’s Comet, so I’m good on the whole astronomical rarity thing. It’s not like it’s the Texas Rangers winning the World Series kinda rarity. . .
  5. Public Service Announcement for West Texas: The wind the last couple of days in West Texas has been annoying for sure…but it will stop. Remember, the traffic and construction in the Metroplex, Austin and Houston is forever.
I’ll take a little West Texas Wind and call it good.
