5 Things We Know On A Sunday

  1. When future historians look back on the decline of Western Civilization, they’ll most likely point to the moment when we had to start putting instructions on bottles of shampoo.
  2. We love kolaches for breakfast. What’s a kolache? It’s basically pigs in a blanket. What are pigs in a blanket? It’s basically a hot dog where the bun isn’t split. I’m launching a campaign right here, right now to make hot dogs a breakfast food! We can make this happen. It’s got everything we need. If the burrito can take over the breakfast market, I see no reason why a quality hot dog can’t find a place at our breakfast table! Who is with me!!!! Have a hot dog for breakfast this week and report back on our Facebook page or Twitter feed.
  3. For the most part, anytime there is severe weather, local TV weathermen, women, meteorologists and other well-meaning folks thrust on the air with little experience… expose themselves in their inability to handle live, breaking information and their ability to process it in real-time, then deliver it to the audience in a manner they can understand and then act upon that information. Most TV stations would be better off having their sports anchor do it. Most sports anchors have done play-by-play or at least can handle ad-libbing a script. Let the weather guy post the forecast, let the sports guy do the play-by-play on severe weather. Sports announcers are the best when it comes to handling live information on-air. At least most of them are. The one’s that aren’t, become weathermen… 🙂
  4. Fact. DJ’s who automatically play “rain songs” when it rains should be flogged.
  5. That I had to choose between 17 different designs and creations of mops at the store today proves once again how America defeated communism. I’m pretty sure my parents, and certainly my grandparents went to the hardware store or department store and went to the “mop section” and bought “the mop”…. I had to send a picture of the “mops” to my wife just to make sure I bought a mop that would mop the way we needed the mop to mop. I’m pretty sure I got close….
