Happy Wednesday, y’all!
Around Raiderland that means it’s Bandwagon Wednesday. So, what bandwagons are y’all on or off this week? Post them here, we’ll talk about it on the show tonight. I’m on the finding random stuff on Youtube bandwagon this week. Got a couple of cool videos for you.
If you were into country music in the late 80s/early 90s you’ll remember a great, but short-lived show on TNN called The Texas Connection. Jerry Jeff Walker hosted a lot of the shows. The Maines Brothers were on one, The original Dixie Chicks were on and of course the legendary Chris Wall. I found an episode with Jerry Jeff and Jimmy Buffett this week. Great stuff. Mostly stories. Some you’ve heard, some you probably haven’t. Give it a watch!
For Texas Tech football fans going through the Longest Day of the Year, we’ve got a cool find. It’s from a Texas Aggie, but that’s OK. It’s the TV broadcast of Texas Tech at Texas A&M in 1988. This is great stuff. If nothing else, you’ve got the legendary and now retiring Norm Hitzges doing color with Greg Lucas on PXP. Watch the pre-game show and the first drive. It gets ugly after that… Also, nearly perfect Texas Tech road uniforms in this game. You’ll love it.
Ok, on to today’s official Question O’ The Day.
Got to thinking about great trios yesterday. The Kingston Trio. Rush. ZZ Top. Three’s Company.
When it comes to sports, who are your favorite or greatest sports trios? We called Troy, Emmitt and Michael The Triplets. Arkansas had their own triplets in hoops. Who are the best QB, RB, WR trios in Texas Tech Football history? Any era, any sport. Bring us great Sports Trios today!
BTW, this is one of the greatest Texas Tech Football Media Guide covers of all-time. Interesting backstory on how it came to be. I’ll tell it tonight.
Ok, you’ve got work to do. Get to it. Post your thoughts here. If you’ve got awesome links to cool stuff share it with us and we will get on that bandwagon with you today. Have fun, stay cool, be kind to some animals if you can today and we’ll see you at 6:30ish on the Daily Broadcast.
