Game Day. Day of the Game!
Thanks to Memorial Day, this week just flew by. Seems like yesterday Texas Tech Softball was beating up on Florida. Now it’s another SEC team as Mississippi State stands in their way in OKC as their Day 1 opponent at the College World Series. On Wednesday, Texas Tech embraced the “Villain” role, if that’s what folks want to make them out to be. We still maintain they should be America’s Team.
Texas Tech has all the great American Values. Hard work, plus talent and the willingness to employ the capitalistic system that has made America awesome for nearly 250 years. Texas Tech should be the team everyone around the country looks at and says, “If they can do it, we can do it too!”.
Instead starting at 11 this morning we’ll hear about transfers and everything that has been the ESPN talking points so far. Mississippi State has at least 7 high-profile transfers on their roster. I wonder if that will be mentioned today. . .
Meanwhile, we’ll see if the Texas Tech offense can continue to pound SEC pitching. They’ve gone over ten runs in four of the five games they’ve played against the vaunted league in this tournament. How the park plays as far as the ball carrying at 11 AM vs the afternoon or night sessions will be interesting to watch as well today.

In addition we’ll check-in on the Big 12 meetings where basketball schedules were the topic of discussion on Wednesday as well as look at the “Protect College Sports Act” that might just do the opposite, and find out what SEC coaches are mad about today. Hint: it’s the schedule they just approved…
