Happy Wednesday, Y’all !
If you’re a Texas Tech fan just a little beat down by the Sorsby Saga and the West Texas heat this week; we get it. Luckily we’ve got a few folks that can help out right now.
With the U.S. Open getting underway Thursday, that’s another chance for former Red Raider Ludvig Aberg to get his first major. He’s struggled lately to avoid that one Big Bogey hole that keeps him from winning. But the Open is a different animal. This year’s event at Shinnecock Hills should play right around par. The ultimate grind. Is Aberg built for this? We’ll know soon enough. Either way, it should be great drama and always fun to see Aberg hopefully amongst the leaders.
After that a couple of former Red Raiders are putting together All-Star seasons. Davis Martin is 9-3 for the White Sox with a 1.91 WHIP and a 3.31 ERA. He could easily end off the starting pitcher with the Rangers Josh Jung over at third base in the line-up behind him. That would be pretty cool to have 2/9ths of the American League line-up be Red Raiders.
It gives us a reason to lock-in on them over the next few weeks for sure.
Throw in Jackie Lis and Nijaree Canady playing AUSL ball and we’ve got plenty of former Red Raiders giving us reasons to tune-in. Just adds something to paying attention to the portal and recruiting, not that there’s anything wrong with that.
We’ll look at that, and much more tonight on The Daily Broadcast. Join us LIVE at 5:30 via Twitter/X, Raiderland YouTube Channel and our Raiderland Facebook Page. All platforms always FREE, so subscribe to each and never miss a thing.
If somehow you missed the Tuesday show, fret not. We got you covered.
Get your comments and questions ready for tonight and then attack the day like the sun beating down on the South Plains!
