Radio Free PAC-12 Remains Undefeated
PAC-12 media members commenced violence upon one another Wednesday when Arizona beat writer Jason Scheer decided to call out Jon Wilner, John Canzano, and Stew Mandel for their false coverage and the out and out lying to preserve the sacrosanct “Conference of Champions.”
The aforementioned Canzano was body slammed by Scheer and called out the talking points from a not so subtle PR Firm campaign. Gents, don’t make the coordinated campaign sound almost identical. At least try to hide it.
Scheer went spikes up on Mandel with the classic screen shot to call out Stew and his lies relating to television revenue. Interestingly enough these PAC-12 Bros in the media haven’t actually produced numbers themselves to back up those assertions.
Now enter in the Big 12 Conference with Commissioner Brett Yormark on the job all of three days and they absolutely drop a hammer on Wilner when discussing attendance between the PAC and Big 12.
The figures cited are from 2019 and not even the past season where it’s reported by CBS Sports that attendance in the PAC was the lowest ever. The rich part of this attendance topic is that Big 12 newcomer BYU outperforms all but 2 remaining PAC-12 school and still outdraws all but 1 in total attendance.
Yormark and company aren’t messing around with realignment and with the reputation or perception of the league. Past Big 12 Commissioners wouldn’t have punched down on writers like Wilner, but an example was made and a salvo was fired. This isn’t your big brother’s Big 12 anymore.
