Happy Tuesday, Y’all !
N.I.L. money and the transfer portal never sleeps….
At least we’ve got some Texas Tech Football action right now as we wait another few weeks to see the Red Raiders in action down in Miami. The Portal never disappoints. All indications from multiple media reports have Cincinnati QB Brendan Sorsby on the move. His landing spot could very well be Lubbock as Texas Tech is going to need a QB1 with Will Hammonds injury status going into next year. Texas Tech just can’t take a chance so it makes since to go after a talent like Sorsby.
The question becomes what does that mean for the QB room. If a one-year deal, does Hammond stay or go? Do any of the younger QBs look elsewhere as a back-up? All of this has already been decided I’m guessing so we’ll know quickly what’s going to happen. Of course if Sorsby announces quickly he’s heading to Texas Tech get ready for shouts of “tampering” from Bearcat fans. I just look at it as the player-to-be-named later for Tyler Shough. The portal evens out….
We’ll discuss that, CFB Playoff thoughts, college basketball, the NFL and much more tonight on a wide-ranging Daily Broadcast. Join the show LIVE at 6:30 Central via X, YouTube and Facebook. Tuesday’s Best

Each Tuesday we go looking for the best in a give category or topic. We give you the topic, you give us your two best examples. This week we celebrate the life of Lubbock country/rocker Joe Ely who passed away Monday at the age of 78. A sad day here in Raiderland as we’ve seen Joe live too many times to count. A soundtrack to my life as one of my friends posted last night on Facebook.
So today, give us your Two Favorite Joe Ely songs of all-time.
Whether Joe wrote it himself or just took ownership of the song with his amazing live performances over the decades, good luck narrowing it down to just two.
Post yours in the comments here on the site or on Facebook and Twitter and I’ll give you my Top Two songs tonight on The Daily Broadcast.
Rest well, Joe.
