Happy Wednesday, Y’all !
Woke up this morning to the sad news that Val Kilmer had passed away. Obviously, he’d been fighting health issues for a decade, but this one still stings. If you’re around our age, Kilmer was a part of the movies of your youth/young adult era. So, here’s to you Doc/Iceman…thanks for the great quotes and memories!
The Texas Tech Baseball team tried to make some memories last night in Frisco taking on OU. Unfortunately, the memories were the same as most games this year with Texas Tech not having enough fire-power to keep up with the Sooners. OU wins it 8-6. For Tech, it’s not like they’re playing the RPI game right now for NCAA seeding, they just need a win of any kind.
We’ll discuss that and much more tonight with y’all on The Daily Broadcast. Join us LIVE at 6:30 Central on X, YouTube and Facebook. All platforms, always Free.

What IF Wednesday
We love Alt. History here in Raiderland. Each Wednesday we look around and ask What IF questions from the world of sports or other history. This week we take a look at Texas History.
What IF: Texas had not voted to join the United States in 1845?
How long would it have take to join the Union. Does the Mexican-American War happen in 1846? What do you think the eventual outcome would have been and how would we have gotten there?
