Can’t do it without great folks like Shropshire Insurance of Texas!

5 Things We Know On A Sunday

  1. The Quest For A “Dumb Oven” was completed this week. It’s not completely dumb, but I don’t think it’s capable of talking to our refrigerator, which is a good thing. We don’t want appliances ganging up on us, potentially partnering with the cats and dogs in a take-over. I’ll say again though, when it comes to heating food does more technology always make for a better product or experience in our lives and at a higher cost. I have a feeling I’ll use the new oven just like I did the old one. Turn ton a knob or two, hit a timer and wait for stuff to be done. . . Did I mention it comes with a built in air-fryer….I’ll be eating Totino’s pizzas in under 3 minutes or so. Progress!
  2. Happy Texas Independence Day a day early! Thankful that in 1835 and 1836 men and women knew that some things were well worth fighting for. The world needs more Texas.
  3. In West Texas, March may be most Hopeful Month of the year. You can feel Winter start to lose its grip. The ground is preparing to green up. Farmers are prepping fields for later planting. . . March, as much as anything has come to feel like the real beginning of a new year more-so than the cold, dark days of January. Feel free to make a few resolutions and goals here and March and see how it works out. Your world might just be ready for it.
  4. People in town have to worry about Porch Pirates and folks things things from right off their door step. Out here in the country… we wake up some days and wonder how most of the stuff ended up on our porch in the first place. Someone remind me to take that old stove into town this week before it comes an “Outdoor Kitchen”!
  5. Driving down the road the other day and I had “Disco Inferno” from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. Then, caught a few songs from the “retro” station in town that plays hits from the 1990/early 2000s. I’m telling ya, if you go back and listen to Disco and then that era of pop music…Disco Wins. And it’s not even close. Sometimes you just need a little time to appreciate something.
