5 Things We Know On A Sunday

  1. Fact. Every great Mexican food dish works just as well for breakfast as it does lunch or supper. Just add an egg and you’re good to go.
  2. There may be no greater feeling of satisfaction than that of mastering the radio and dashboard controls on a new vehicle. My wife’s new vehicle has more controls and knobs than the early Space Shuttles. I thought I was dialing in a radio station and instead called someone. I don’t know who, but they were nice. Add in getting the seat and mirrors perfectly set and you’ve had a really good day.
  3. The death of storytelling as an art and entertainment form in America is a sad thing to see. As cultures change and shift, particularly in the South, we are losing a large part of our identity and history. Plus, most folks just aren’t funny. We need more characters in this world and fewer TikTok stars who can’t create any content longer than 19 seconds.
  4. Nothing changes your Saturday morning as much as pulling up to the barber shop and seeing a sign that reads, “Out Sick – Back Tuesday”. I apologize for my hair this week.
  5. If Taylor Sheridan really wants to make a series about folks taking massive gambles, putting everything they have on the line with little to no control over the outcome at times; he needs to do a series on Cotton Farmers.
