5 Things We Know On A Sunday

  1. Fact. Ginger Ale is one of the most underrated beverages out there. For some reason, when I first started flying, I’d always order a Ginger Ale on the plane. Made it seem special. Now, one of my favorite beverages to have on hand at the house. Try one in the morning… You’ll feel good. Trust me.
  2. This week, take more pride and value in what you do and in your family than you place on some random sports team that you root for because of the laundry they wear. Too many folks have this flipped around the wrong way.
  3. Top 3 Singers Named Steve: No. 3. Steve Warner. No. 2. Steve Perry, Journey. No. 1. Stevie Nicks.
  4. College Football half-time shows on TV need to go old-school. Each week, they should show the bands play for 5 minutes and scroll the scores across the bottom with the announcers keeping their traps shut. Fans would love and heaven knows the talking-heads could use the rest.
  5. Lubbock has come up with a brilliant new way to drive the economy. If you tear up enough roads, reduce things to single-lanes that back up for miles and then arrange orange barrels and cones in a manner that looks like a bad cross-word puzzle, then no one car actually ever get out of town. You just want to give up some days, leave your car on the side of the road and find a hotel. It’s a brilliant plan and seems to be working!
