Happy Wednesday Y’all !
The polls closed last night at 7 Central. Not the local and national elections but rather the most important poll for Texas Tech Football fans ever. The College Football Playoff Committee voted and gave the Red Raiders the 8 spot in the first rankings. I think that’s more than fair. Could have lived with 9 but 8 works out just fine. It give Tech time to move up and that’s all that matters.
We also saw where, while Tech’s strength of schedule was noted, it didn’t just get them hammered. Hopefully in the future Tech can drastically improve the non-conference schedule. If they plan on being relevant nationally, they have to.
We’ll discuss the rankings, Tech vs BYU, the Big 12 race and much more tonight on The Daily Broadcast. Join us LIVE at 6:30 Central tonight via X, YouTube, and Facebook. All FREE so subscribe to each platform and never miss a thing.
If you missed the show last night from The Red River Brewery here in Red River, New Mexico, here ya go:

What IF Wednesday
We love Alt. History in Raiderland. It’s a great way to understand what really happened and why. It also shows us how things can change with one simple twist of fate. One different decision or action or outcome of events. So, each Wednesday we give y’all a What IF question and you tell us what things would look like if history were different. Sometimes sports, sometimes not.
This week let’s look at the college football playoffs.
What IF: We were still living in the College Football world of 1998 and there were no playoff, just 1 vs 2 in the “Championship” game?
How would the world of college football be if things had just stopped with the advent of the BCS? Would you be as excited as your are right now for Texas Tech Football and CFB in general? Would the sport have exploded the way it has since the first playoffs started in 2013? What would the impact be on conferences? Fire away in the comments and we’ll discuss tonight on The Daily Broadcast.
