Remember to leave out some pimento cheese sandwiches tonight and Golf Santa will bring us The Masters in the morning! A tradition unlike any other.
This year we have another treat in getting to root for former Red Raider Ludvig Aberg. He’s played really good lately, just not great. That’s pretty good. His in the Top 10 in the betting markets this week to get his first Green Jacket. All of that said, are there issues?
Is Aberg too nice?
One former pro and current PGA analyst says so. Brenden De Jonge said Wednesday morning on VSIN “By The Books” show with Dave Ross and Jensen Lewis that Aberg needs a “mean streak”.
He might be right.
Aberg is always so calm and reserved that it’s hard to get a read on where he is during a round from a mental stand-point. He’s struggled closing out some leads and is tittering on the “ya, but…” level when it comes to great talent, but hard to close out tournaments. Will this week be different?
