Happy Thursday and Masters Day !
We’re underway at Augusta. Feels great. Wish we had start to finish coverage. Maybe one day… We’ve got to wait until 12:08 CDT to catch Ludvig Aberg begin his round. That’s not bad. Give us something to do all afternoon for the most part. Just hoping to see him get off to a solid start. You can’t win The Masters today, but you sure can lose it.

Is the portal a problem now for Texas Tech MBB?
The news of Christian Anderson announcing plans to try out the NBA were no shock. Neither was the entrance of Watts and others. Yesterday though, a lot of fans were caught off-guard when So. to be Jaylen Petty announced he was in the portal. A solid starter for most of the year, Petty had a lot of fans excited about part two next year. Now that will be somewhere else.
Nathan Giese from the A-J has a solid analysis here of why Petty might be on the move and Tech might not be too concerned. It’s a short story you might say…
So, are you worried yet about 2026-27 Tech MBB? Or, is the better question, do you trust Grant McCasland with another rebuild and reload. This is the nature of the college game now. Tech certainly isn’t alone. Depending on what happens with J.T. Toppin, Tech should have lots of cap room to work with. A Final Four roster next year will be between 12-15 million dollars most likely. Tech now has capital to work with. We’ll see how it plays out.
