Happy Friday, Y’all !
We’ve got a lot going on today in the world of Texas Tech. As it should be. . .
Texas Tech Softball gets things rolling at 10 AM Central as they start their Super Regional at Florida. This is where Texas Tech gets to prove the NCAA Selectors wrong on their seeding. Tech earned the right to be a Top 8 seed and hopefully that’s added fuel this weekend. The simple key? Just score some runs. When Tech score 2 or more runs, they’re usually just fine. So get the bats cranking early today and we will see what happens.
After that, Don Williams broke the news early Friday morning that Texas Tech Baseball HC Tim Tadlock will be back for next season. We’ve said for the last month that Tadlock has earned the right to coach this program with the full compliment of scholarships and hopefully a little more NIL backing. Either way, this is the right more for the program. Excited to see the clarity here this soon and we’ll be watching the recruiting this summer. First step is to try and keep Jesse Rusinek and Linkin Garcia. After that, not too concerned if anyone else off this team returns…. Sad but true.
We’ll talk about all of that and much more this afternoon with y’all LIVE at 5:30 Central on The Daily Broadcast. Join in via X, Ryan Hyatt’s Raiderland YouTube Channel and the ever-growing Ryan Hyatt’s Raiderland Facebook Page. All FREE, so subscribe to each and never miss a thing we do in Raiderland.
If you missed the Thursday show, which started off with the horrible news of the death of NASCAR legend Kyle Busch, here ya go:
Get your questions and comments ready, what on the platform of your choice and invite some friends. We’ll get the weekend started strong tonight at 5:30.
Most Texan Thing

Each week, for nearly two decades, we’ve asked y’all one simple question.
What’s The Most Texan Thing You’ve Done This Week?
Big or small, whatever it might be; the world needs more Texans doing Texan-Like things. Fire way in the comments below or on our social media pages and tell us your story for this week. We love hearing about Texans setting great examples outside the confines of The Great State, so be sure and let us know what you’re doing around the country or the globe!
One of the Most Texan Things we did this week was continue our campaign to bring back Pancho’s Mexican Food Buffet to Lubbock! We need this back in our lives. Raise The Flag!

Do what you can!
What Did You Learn This Week
As we wrote a few weeks ago, we’ll continue to honor our friend and radio host Chad Hasty who passed away unexpectedly three weeks ago by “stealing” his great question. Each week now, we want you to tell us….
What Did You Learn This Week?
It sums up living perfectly. We have to keep living and learning.
So, tell us in the comments or social media what you learned.
We learned, thanks to coverage of Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby’s lawsuit against the NCAA that Texas Tech has produced a lot of great lawyers and judges. That must be the case because they’re everywhere and that’s freaked out all of college sports that someone from Texas Tech might be in a position to hear the case. For the record, we think Judge Phillip Hays was right to recuse himself in this situation. It take all the pressure off of Texas Tech in any shape or form in a case the school really has nothing to do with. Good job, Hays!
