5 Things We Know On A Sunday
- Fact. It’s not always that “old folks” are so smart… it’s just that they have lived long enough to get rid of the dumb stuff in their lives. Think on that for a minute and you’ll understand, no matter how old you are!
- Overheard. “The Beatles changed history and The Rolling Stones changed rock and roll.” As someone who likes the Stones more than the mop tops, I like that.
- It should be a State Law in Texas that every small town has a “Welcome To Sign” that features “The Home Of” and how many state titles the high school has won, no matter how many years ago it happened. We need to know these things. The sign must also be sponsored by the local Church Of Christ, Chamber of Commerce or the Lions Club.
- That no one has marketed a car or truck air freshener that smells like fajitas being sat down at you table, sizzling hot with peppers and onions; tell us that America still has work to do and some one out there is going to become a millionaire.
- The the success, power and popularity of the Savanah Bananas should be a great reminder to all businesses that the customer just wants to be valued and feel like they’re getting value. The Bananas aren’t just selling fun and baseball, they’re selling value that gets parents to bring their kids out and open up their wallets because they believe it’s more than worth it. Far too many businesses forget this simple rule.
