Happy Monday, Y’all !

Welcome to the Official start of Summer.

And it’s a welcome thing after a tumultuous Spring around these parts. We had stuff going on as they say. Now that the Sorsby Saga is behind Texas Tech fans, it feels like we can really move forward starting this week. And that’s exactly what we’ll do.

Today, we’ll start the week by asking you what you want the Next Big News to be out of Texas Tech. Obviously you’d want it to be something positive. With Big 12 Media Days coming up in a few weeks, and those might be a little interesting, it feels like this would be a great time to churn out any and all positive news items from he Big Red Spread.

For many, it might be the announcement of a home-and-home football series with anyone better than ACU and Sam Houston. There was speculation a few weeks ago that either USC or Notre Dame might be on the radar. We’d take either one at this point. The question is, did the events of the last few weeks put a damper on those types of schools wanting their name attached to Texas Tech….

If not that, a little news on the Men’s Basketball recruiting front would work right in. Tall people. They need tall people.

Maybe a few contract extensions or something regarding the Savanah Bananas playing at game at Jones Stadium…whatever it might be, what would you like the next Big Story to be out of Tech?

We’ll talk about that tonight as well as the news of the day, and we all know that by 5:30 Central the news can change a lot around here… with y’all on The Daily Broadcast. Join the show LIVE via Twitter/X, Raiderland YouTube Channel, and the growing and engaging Raiderland Facebook Page. All of our platforms are always FREE, so subscribe to each one and never miss a thing that happens.

If you’re new around these parts, welcome in. Here’s the Friday show to give you an idea of what we do around here!

Get your comments and questions ready to go and we’ll see y’all LIVE at 5:30.

Weekend Warriors

We “debut” a new Monday feature today after having a soft roll-out a few weeks back. It was our intention to start the Weekend Warrior Award back in early May, but the Sorsby thing kinda dominated the headlines. So, we waited until the Official start of Summer to get this going for ya.

In short, each Monday you tell us who your Weekend Warriors were. Who got it done and made it happen in a big way. This could be sports, your family, friends, anyone who did great stuff deserves some respect.

You’ve got a lot to choose from as Davis Martin keeps rolling for the White Sox, Josh Jung kept hitting for the Rangers Sunday and Ludvig Aberg carded the low round on Final Sunday at the U.S. Open with a 66. Maybe it was someone like my Father In-Law who got on the tractor and tilled up anything and everything that needed to be tilled. And that’s a lot. Heck, we’ll even let you say nice things about the World Cup if you want.

You get the idea.

Post your Weekend Warriors in the comments below or on our Facebook/Twitter Feeds and get the conversation going. We’ll discuss in-depth with y’all tonight LIVE at 5:30 Central on The Daily Broadcast.
