5 Things We Know On A Sunday – A.I & Data Centers, Humbled By A Washing Machine, Proud Dad Moment, A Missing Restaurant Plus The War On Summer

Brought to you today by the extraordinary people at Shropshire Insurance of Texas. Shropshire is independent, just like all great West Texans. Based in Lubbock but big enough for the whole Great State of Texas. Give Jeff and his staff a holler this week and tell them Raiderland sent you!

5 Things We Know On A Sunday

  1. The irony is not lost on me of the multitude of folks railing about A.I. and data centers doing so on the internet via smart phones and posting to Social Media platforms that are all powered and run by massive amounts of A.I. and data centers. . .
  2. The minute you start thinking you’re pretty smart, you’ll be humbled by a washing machine that gets out of balance while doing a load of blankets or towels or something. Just when you’ve done laundry Jenga, get those heavy wet things rearranged and think you’ve got it… as you slowly walk away…thump, thump, thump.
  3. Proud Dad Moment Of The Week: Went to lunch with my son and he bought lunch. Because he could. Some of y’all understand.
  4. How did Steak And Ale every go out of business? As a fine friend said this past week, it was the perfect Second Date Place.
  5. The War on Summer continues. As we hit August I’m hearing that some local schools will start as early as the 12th. That’s too early. Kids need Summer. They need three months of playing, growing, family-time and just time to be kids. It seems like school starts earlier and earlier every year. That’s a shame.
