Brought to you each week by Shropshire Insurance of Texas. Independent, just like all great West Texans, Shropshire is based in Lubbock, but big enough for the whole Great State of Texas! Give Jeff and his crew a call this week and let them get started on all of your insurance questions and needs. Tell them thanks for being a huge part of all we do in Raiderland!

5 Things We Know On A Sunday
- Why am I just now finding out about the greatness that is spicy pimento cheese on a baked potato? What else are you people withholding out there when it comes to great things to put on a baked potato? Fire away in the comments today!
- Overheard: “KISS never gets enough respect for being a Top 10 rock band of All-Time, man!”. I agree with this person.
- I still think it’s really cool going through a car wash. A car wash/sports bar combo where you can sit and watch games and drink beer and see cars and trucks go through the tunnel should be invented. One of y’all run with this, get rich and report back.
- Speaking of money-making ideas, here’s another free one for y’all today. With the return of high school football a few weeks away, one of the things I miss is the food. I’m convinced someone could open a restaurant themed after a small-time Texas High School Football Concession Stand. And yes, you must name it “The Concession Stand”. The menu on a small board behind the counter. Hot dogs, hamburgers, Cokes, Snickers, nachos with or without and of course, Frito Pie in the bag. I’m telling ya, it would be a hit!
- I’m at the point in life where I no longer look at a politician and ask what they’ll do FOR me. I’m much more interested in finding out what they are NOT going to try to do to me! The politician who runs for office with a slogan of ” I promise I won’t do much” would get my attention these days. Less is more when it comes to governing.
