Happy Tuesday, Y’all !

Finally.

The tortillas are dead at Texas Tech.

Texas Tech owned it Monday, said he made a mistake leaning into it before the season started. Now, they’re doing what must be done. They’re putting a total ban on the tossing of food at Jones Stadium. The question becomes, will the fans do what must be done for the team and follow suit?

I expect a majority will.

I expect some selfish individuals won’t.

I won’t miss any of them as fans at games going forward. Because they’ll be ejected and banned. And that’s as it should be.

Oh yes, there is still a game Saturday and Texas Tech is a massive favorite over Oklahoma State. As much as the rise of programs like Indiana, Vanderbilt and yes, Texas Tech go to show how quickly you can ascend the college football ladder now with NIL and the transfer portal; Oklahoma State shows you how fast you can go the other way.

For the Red Raiders this weekend, get healthy, stay healthy get the win and get ready for a huge game at Kansas State. With HC Joey McGuire listing Behren Morton as day-to-day, and aren’t we all, I’m all in favor of making it Hammond Time again this week. I am convinced with a better game plan in place this week he’ll be more than good enough to secure the win. It allows Morton time to be ready for the last four and maybe five game push to a Big 12 Title and berth in the CFB Playoffs. Yep. That’s all still out there.

We mentioned last night on the show that the Goin’ Band From Raiderland needs to take a page from Odessa Permian and start blasting the theme to Hawaii 5-0. They started that in the 1970s and 80s when you had to go 5-0 to win a State Championship. Obviously, Texas Tech needs to go 5-0 to have a shot at the Big 12 Championship, so learn it this week and play it the rest of the season.

Tuesday’s Best

Each Tuesday we go off in search of the best. We give you the topic and you give us your Two Best examples. Might be sports or it might not. You never know.

This week we’re talking about Quarterbacks.

Give us the Two Best QBs you’d want to have the ball with your team down 5, two minutes to play and you have one time-out. Drive starts on your 25. Give two current QBs and then two former QBs. Ok, that’s four but we get to make the rules.

Who do you want with the game on the line?

Fire away in the comments and we’ll discuss in-depth tonight on The Daily Broadcast.
