Alright Texas Tech fans, you saw what we had to say this weekend after the Red Raiders took down then #25 Houston 33-30 in 2OT. Now it’s time for you to sound off.
Two games into the season, you’ve had a chance to see the first offerings of the Joey McGuire Era. One game against a weak opponent, one against a team picked to win their conference. Now 2-0, the Red Raiders get ready to head to NC St.
So, two games in, what are you thinking?
What has impressed you the most so far?
What concerns you the most going forward?
Looking forward to your comments here. If they’re really awesome we will use them on our radio show Tuesday on Talk 103.9 FM in Lubbock and ESPN 960 in San Angelo from 11-1 ! Be sure and tell your local station you want our show! We deliver. NO need to suffer with sucky radio where you live!
Now, give us your thoughts and don’t hold back!

I like that he seems to figure out the problem then works to solve it. Example, our secondary wasn’t good in first game because he said their “eyes” looking the wrong way. Secondary was improved vs UH. I think he can really coach players.
I also like his “what’s next” philosophy. It’s still early, but I’m starting to believe in him–it’s obvious the players believe in him.
Thanks for the comments! Means a lot when folks take a minute to read and then a few minutes to add to the conversation!

Most impressed by the defense and the intangible “edge” that McGuire has instilled. Greatest concern is the offensive line especially quality depth.
O-Line is and will be a challenge all year. Not a way to get better via the waiver-wire,
So you’ve got what you’ve got.

I have been impressed with energy I see from the coaches and the players. Coach McGuire sold me with the Raider Power at his introductory press conference. I like how the players respond to the coaches and you don’t see than hanging their heads down when bad things happen(pick 6 from Donovan). It also appears that the fans are buying in to also. Although I wish it wouldn’t happen but I want to see how the team responds after a lost. I think move to the next play attitude is long overdue here at Tech
I am impressed that McGuire and his staff appear to have a plan for a lot of situations. For example, Morton was lined up at wideout a snap or two the other day. That’s one more thing for an opposing team to look for. I don’t have any concerns yet because Tech showed a willingness to battle through them (I.e the offense lull after the first drive the other day).
