Happy Monday, Y’all !

Yes, it was a rough weekend for the State of Texas and the Hill Country, but we are gonna get through it cause we are Texans. Do what you can, how you can. We’ll keep posting links on our X feed that we think might help out. But, any little bit does help, so don’t hesitate to go what you can this week, big or small.

As we get this week started we’ve got a lot to get to in Raiderland. There is no “Slow-Time” in Raiderland. As y’all know, over the weekend Texas Tech Football picked up the commitment of one of the top OT in the country in Felix Ojo. Reports vary on his “deal” but that will come out soon no doubt. We’ll discuss that and the continued impact Texas Tech is having on college sports tonight with y’all on The Daily Broadcast.

We won’t stop there of course. Heard an interesting discussion this weekend amongst other schools’ fans about what is and isn’t a “college town”. It begs the question: Do you think Lubbock is a college town? Why or why not? What makes for a college town these days? Is Lubbock too big at nearly 300K in the metro area now to qualify? You tell us in the comments and will discuss on the show tonight.

After that we’ve got plenty of other on-field and off-field action to get to, so make sure you’re ready to join the show LIVE tonight at 6:30 Central. Join on Twitter/X, YouTube or Facebook. All of our platforms always FREE!

We take your great questions and comments each night on the show, so don’t miss out. Be sure to tell a friend we’re always talking about what matters most to Red Raiders, West Texans, and lovers of sports, media, music, food and entertainment!

Good, Bad & Ugly Weekend Recap

Every Monday we recap the weekend that was. With this one being a long weekend, we’ve got plenty to get to. From the stuff you loved to the stuff you hated, let us know with your own GBUs in the comments below. Here’s a quick look at what we’ll talk about tonight on TDB.

G: Grant McCasland and Christian Anderson. Texas Tech Basketball HC wins gold with Team USA this weekend in Switzerland and Texas Tech’s 4 Million Dollar Man Anderson shines for Team Germany getting them to the finals against USA by averaging 17 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals a game. That’s a nice little summer trip there. Anderson is exploding on the college basketball radar right now. A secret no more.

B: Trying to watch the Texas Rangers or any other MLB team on TV. They actually don’t want you to watch. It’s insane. July 4th and the only option to watch the Rangers and Padres was in Standard Definition TV on an over-the-air signal if you had DirectTV. Silly and Stupid and Bad. Welcome to 1997.

U: The coming Mosquito War we are about to fight this week on the South Plains. Always blessed by the rains, but cursed by the Skeeters. Fight hard and hold nothing back. Use any chemical warfare you can. EPA regulations be damned!

Those are just a couple of ours. Fire away in the comments and we’ll talk about it more tonight on TDB.
