Happy Tuesday, Y’all !
Big Monday turned into a Big What If for Texas Tech last night, falling to Kansas 64-61. About 15 minutes before game time, word started filtering out that Tech would be without PG Christian Anderson due to illness. He tried to warm-up but never got on the court. Was that the difference in a close game that Tech led for most of the night? Probably so. Would we like to see this game later this season with lots on the line for both teams at full-strength? You bet!
In all, the loss doesn’t hurt Tech much when it comes to NCAA seeding. Tech was firmly on the 4-line going into the game with KU on the 3-line. I doubt the metrics change much if it all. The human selectors thought will know in March during selection meetings that Texas Tech played without their second best player and lost a single-possession game. I don’t think they’ll knock Tech much for the outcome.
We’ll get into that, look around the rest of the Big 12 and College Basketball plus a heavy dose of Lady Raider Basketball thoughts and of course we’ll engage in Super Bowl Hype.
