Happy Tuesday, Y’all !

We’d like to thank Major League Baseball for getting something right. It happens. And it happened Monday night in the City Of Brotherly Love.

MLB absolutely nailed the All Star Game HR Derby format this year. They got rid of the clock. They allowed the hitters to take their time. We could enjoy seeing the ball land and not cut-away to a batter in mid-swing. It moved fast and was compelling.

It was like the Home Run Derby’s of old.

Here’s to Wilson Contreas for setting the tone in the first round with some massive blasts, Kyle Schwarber for setting the stage in the finals and St. Louis Cardinals you star Jordan Walker for providing the dramatic comeback finish. Dang near perfect.

Speaking of Home Run Derby’s of old, anyone remember watching this gem of a show on ESPN back in the 1980s during the Summer?

Fair or Foul, All or Nothing. What a great show that was. A lot of folks thought it was filmed at Wrigley Field in Chicago with the ivy on the wall. They were half right. It was in Los Angeles at their Wrigley Field for the L.A. Stars minor league team.

So thanks to MLB we got some great entertainment and Netflix didn’t mess it up for the most part. We’ll see if the actual All-Star Game can live up to it tonight.

We’ll talk about some of our favorite All-Star Game memories growing up with y’all tonight as well as recap the World Cup Semi-Final between France and Spain going on in Arlington this afternoon with y’all on The Daily Broadcast this evening. We won’t stop there as VSiN analyst and noted pop culture expert Wes Reynolds will join the show to help break down not just some ASG props but the British Open this week and his thoughts on tonight’s America 250 topic. Get ready to talk about the Greatest American Movie Characters of All-Time.

Join the show LIVE at 5:30 Central via Twitter/X, the Raiderland YouTube Channel and our growing and engaging Raiderland Facebook Page. All platforms always FREE so sign-up for each one and never miss a thing.
