Welcome to the weekend!
It’s June 20. We don’t have a ton going on….
Which is wrong.
We got a lot going on.
First and foremost, the finals of the College World Series. We’re all behind Coastal Carolina, right? How can you not like a belligerent chicken? As Americans we can’t root for the SEC of Coastal. When they won Wednesday, they didn’t even celebrate. They expected to be in the finals. Meanwhile, LSU acted like a six-year old chasing the ice cream truck. Advantage, Coastal.
So ya, we do have some thing going on, and you gotta step up!
This is when we as fans and media have to take the lead! We have to embrace hype, crazy stories, odd topics and the idea that anything and everything is up for discussion. Welcome to our world as a radio show host for 30 years and now doing radio here, minus the boring, excessive problematic actual radio station to deal with.
All this means is that you’ve got to kick-in and ante-up. You’ve got to chime in on topics, vote in polls, text into shows and programs and help us get to August. You can do it. I’ve seen it for decades. If hosts will give you a good topic, you’ll run with it! So, take on your role this summer and make it fun.
Speaking of which, we’ll have a show tonight LIVE at 6:30 Central. Show up and have fun. You’ll love the topics. Trust us.

And ya, that’s an autographed copy of the first Dave Campbell’s Texas Football magazine to my Dad. We’ve got every issue from he 1960 on to the late 2000s. I figure I can get any of the later issues no problem. The first one though.. Good luck getting that one. And good luck having it autographed.
