It feels like Friday. It feels like the end of the week, even if it is the end of the year. And what a year!

If you had told us exactly one year ago today that we’d be doing a prediction column for the Orange Bowl and that it would involve Texas Tech, I don’t think most folks would mind. Would they believe it? I don’t know. But, here we are. The final day of 2025 about to usher in a new era for Texas Tech Football.

Win or lose on New Year’s Day, the Red Raiders are at the party. They’re in the club. They are a “have” in the world of college sports. All sports. Texas Tech can win and is now expected to win across the board in college athletics. It’s a wonderful time to be a Red Raider.

With that as our backdrop, we waste no time this morning. As we type, Texas Tech HC Joey McGuire is hosting his final press conference in Miami before taking on the Ducks. We’ll see if we can link to to in the the Hot Links. For now though, it’s your turn.
