It’s down to two in Omaha and now we get a few days to savor the Coastal Carolina vs LSU match-up in the finals. One more reason college baseball is so great. Imagine a Sun Belt team taking on the SEC in the college football title-game? You can’t imagine it, can you….
Of course with expansion of scholarship limits in baseball and of course N.I.L. and the transfer portal, are we going to see the end of teams like Coastal being able to hold on to great talent and compete against the major programs? Some are asking if Texas Tech will be able to do it.

Over, Under, Rated Right
Each Thursday we get to rating a few things around Raiderland. Sometimes sports, sometimes not. This week we’re taking on Rock and Roll All-Time Great Lead Singers.
Over the years, who is talked about too much, too little and just right? Here’s a few of ours.
Overrated: John Lennon. Come on. You know it’s true. Paul ten times better fronting a band.
Underrated: David Lee Roth. Van Halen was never the same and they replaced him with a legend.
Rated Right: Mick Jagger. Not a great singer but the ultimate entertainer on stage. And that’s what it’s all about.

Overrated: Prince. Good guitar player. Just never understood the “Genius” label so many use. He was a weird little dude that wrote music and somehow that made him a Genius.
Underrated: Mark Knopfler – Dire Straits. Incredible guitarist, singer and all-round musician. But, his song writing is what elevates his game. Wrote the majority of Dire Straits music but has also ventured off into the Country and Western side of music.
Honorable Mention: Jeff Lynn – ELO; Lou Gramm – Foreigner
Rated Right: Robert Plant. Considered by many to be the Voice of Rock N Roll. His body of work backs it up.
