It’s Official.
Texas Tech is the most powerful and important athletic program in college sports today.
After reading various and multiple quotes and stories over the last 48 hours or so from athletic directors and conference commissioners it’s the only conclusion we can come to. Texas Tech is the only school that can control the “integrity of the game” and keep the NCAA’s tenuous grip on control a reality. Texas Tech is seemingly their only hope.
Obviously they’ve given up on being the paragons of integrity and values, so it must fall to Texas Tech. Great straw-man argument by the Lords of the Realm. Don’t look at us! It’s all Lubbock. Seems Joey McGuire was right when he said everything runs through Lubbock.
The silliness on display or flat-out denial of their own issues if quite funny and again it tells you how these other programs really do hate Texas Tech right now for detailed reasons. But their willingness to just abandon their own place in the world of college sports and blame Texas Tech is laughable.
One day it’s Texas Tech who has to save college sports. Then it’s Senator Ted Cruz. Or it’s President Donald Trump. Or it’s Oprah or Taylor Swift. It’s never them….
Forget being the Villain in college sports Texas Tech fans. Embrace being The Most Powerful School In America!
