Happy Monday, Y’all !
Quite the weekend for Texas Tech fans and Americans in general. And all Americans should be Texas Tech fans at this point.
You got pretty much what you wanted across the board this weekend from a Tech standpoint. Tech MBB first game without J. T. Toppin went smoothly with the Red Raiders routing Kansas State, hanging up 100 points. The depth kicked in and it was a great way to ease into the 2.0 version of whatever this team will be the next month or so.
Texas Tech Baseball and Softball both swept. No shock for #2 ranked Softball. Baseball took advantage of being at home, some good weather for this time of year, solid hitting and some really nice outings by starting pitchers and the pen. It looked a lot more like Tech Baseball. This five game winning streak is now the best run since 2004 when they did that twice. It’s early, but there is a lot to be encouraged about with Cal. State Bakersfield coming in this weekend.
The Texas Tech Lady Raiders stumbled a bit in Colorado, getting beat on the offensive boards and not having enough fire-power to overcome the Buffs advantage in second-chance points. On to Kansas as they continue to battle for a good seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Add in the United States taking gold in Olympic Hockey over Canada and it was darn near perfect.
We’ll discuss all of that and much more with y’all tonight on The Daily Broadcast. Join us LIVE at 6:30 Central via X, YouTube and Facebook. All platforms always FREE. If you missed our quick thoughts Saturday on Tech Hoops, here ya go.

Each Monday we recap the weekend that was, Good, Bad and Ugly style. Some things were great, some not so great and some were so ugly you just had to look away. We give you a few quick thoughts here, you fire away in the comments and then we will discuss in-depth tonight on The Daily Broadcast.
G: Texas Tech Baseball scoring 10 2-out runs Sunday on their way to a run-rule of Albany. Great situational hitting and awareness at the plate.
B: Our oven finally going out after years of service at Raiderland World H.Q.
U: Handing out goofy looking stuffed animals to the Olympic Hockey players, AFTER, they received their medals. What are we doing here folks!
