1/30/24: Tuesday’s Best – Super Bowl, A Day Of Food In Your Hometown, Raiderland Hot-Links Featuring Dueling West Texas Sunrises, Ed “Too Short” Jones, INXS, And Panhandle Values Out Of WTAMU

Brought to you in part by Premier Sportsplex in Lubbock. The Game Is On!

Happy Tuesday, y’all!

The Red Raider men are back in action tonight playing on the world’s worst basketball court at TCU. You’ll have a headache after watching this game from the way the court is painted. It’s worse in person. It should be banned by the new Big 12 leadership. Make Courts Great Again! Texas Tech starts the day on the 4-Line at HoopsHD with a Nitty Gritty of 15. That’s higher than Tech has been at this time of the season I think since we started tracking this in 2018. So that’s good. TCU is a quality road game as well with them having and HD number of 31. Make no mistake, this will be a tough game for Texas Tech. A win here really starts to solidify the already growing resume.

Of course we just about described every Big 12 road game there…didn’t we.

  1. If you happen to swing through Kilgore, Texas…Home of the World Famous Rangerettes and (once upon a time) The World’s Richest Acre these are the places I would take you to.
Breakfast – The Burrito Shop. Breakfast burritos with homemade tortillas, kicked off with an order of chips and hot sauce. If you are a traditionalist, eggs sunny side up with thick slabs of bacon, hash browns and toast are a great fallback.
Lunch – Johnny Ozarks. Fried chicken, fried fish or chicken strips. Can’t go wrong with anyone of these. Sides of mac and cheese and their baked beans top it off.
Dinner – Country Tavern. Ribs and cold beer. Nuff said.
