We haven’t talked a lot about Cincinnati this week. Welcome to the new Big 12 where you have conference games that still feel like non-conference games. Other than folks around in 1968, not a lot of Texas Tech football fans have any connection to the Bearcats. More of a connection to SHSU’s Bearkats than Skyline Chili Town.

They say it will take time, but I don’t think you’ll ever feel much of a connection to teams like Cincinnati or UCF…Some would say it’s developed over the last decade with West Virginia, but all of this still feels very temporary to me.
