5 Things We Know On A Sunday

  1. If donuts are acceptable for breakfast, chocolate chip cookies should be equally welcome at the table.
  2. It’s a natural law. As soon as you get done cleaning the bathroom sink; making it look all sparkly and awesome – someone will come and brush their teeth.
  3. It’s been cold and windy the last couple of days in West Texas. As it should be for January. People talk about the dust in the Spring and that being the toughest time to live out here. They’re wrong. If you can handle West Texas in January and February everything else is easy.
  4. I wonder sometimes what would impress my great-grandparents the most about modern living. I don’t think it would be the cellphone or computer. I think it would be the grocery store. Just walking through the produce section alone would be mind-blowing if you grew up a hundred years ago…
  5. I don’t have time in my life to wander around from one protest to another. If I did have time to protest, it would be something really important. I’d be on the front-lines fighting for Domino’s to bring back their cheeseburger pizza, the Super Bowl to be played during the day in outdoor stadiums, bigger parking spaces for modern trucks and M*A*S*H to be shown each weeknight after the late local news. You find that protest, I’ll meet you there!
