Happy Wednesday, y’all!
Another day closer to Saturday. This week is going even faster for us. We’ve got Thursday night high school football, this week the boy is playing in New Mexico. I have a feeling I know how the officiating is going to be. They’re always really nice to Texas teams who cross the border for a game. You’d think they’d appreciate us driving the economy, but that never seems to be the case. That said, that’s another reason why this week seems to be flying by for us.
Bandwagon Wednesday
One of the cooler Listener-Created topics over the last few years. It’s a great way to declare to the world what you’re supporting, what you’re in to and what you just won’t put up with. ON:
Dumping Direct TV. Been thinking about making the move and thanks to our friends at Poka-Lambro and our high-speed internet we can do it. For years it was the only way to get anything out here in the country. I also told myself it was to get Sunday Ticket. Obviously that doesn’t matter anymore. Now I don’t have to do it. So, give me some advice you cord-cutters. Actually I technically am using a cord again. What’s your go to from streaming services? What do I need to know? What do you like from a sports stand-point? Post your thoughts in the comment section.
Kat Timpf on The Five. Big fan of hers on Gutfeld! (That would be the number one nightly “Talk Show” to you folks) but it’s been nice to see her on The Five lately there at 4PM our time on Fox News. I have a feeling I’d enjoy her stand-up show. Anyone get to see her when she was in Midland recently? She’s turned out to be everything I’d hoped S.E. Cupp was going to be a decade or so ago.
Off:
Store-bought hot wings. I know. I know. I know better. I keep thinking I’ll find some that are at least decent. I have not. Tried again last night. Sub-optimal. Add in the fact they’re expensive as hell and I give up. Just gonna do chicken strips or nuggets and dip in my favorite sauces. Much better option. Even frozen popcorn shrimp is better these days.
“Extreme Weather Events”. Not every thing that happens is extreme. 99% of the time it’s just weather. Not everything is related to Climate Change. Again, it’s usually just weather. Normal weather like we’ve always had and will always have and you can’t do anything about it. But, that won’t stop some folks from trying to scare you and make a buck or two off of your fears. Don’t let them do it.
