What If Wednesday

We love Alt. History. You never know what Might Have Been if different choices had been made in the past. Where would we be now? Or would it end up in the same place any ways????

Today we go back in Texas Tech Football history and ask

What if Texas Tech hired NFL Hall of Fame QB and Lubbock resident Bobby Layne, instead of hiring Jerry Moore in 1981?

Of course Moore struggled at Tech before getting fired with one game left in the season in 1985. Layne, who most folks don’t know desperately wanted the Tech job, obviously never coached in college or the NFL before passing away a few years later.

What would have happened for Tech? For Moore? The impact would have been most interesting.

Give us your thoughts in the comment section below and we’ll discuss in depth tonight at 6:30 on TDB.
