Brought to you in part by The Shropshire Agency in Lubbock. Independent, just like West Texans. Give Jeff and his great staff a holler this week, tell them thanks for being a great sponsor of what we do in Raiderland and then find out how they can make your insurance coverage the best it has ever been!

5 Things We Know On A Sunday

  1. One of the cool things about watching your kid grow-up… they begin to relate/appreciate some of the music you did at their age or even a little older. Proud to know our son has now learned the greatness of Cross Canadian Ragweed’s earliest anthem… Carney Man. You need a corn dog, I can tell.
  2. Free advice to the ladies. Don’t trust a man who can’t score a baseball game in an old style scorebook. If he can’t explain a 3-6-1 DP… just keep looking.
  3. Which food is more polarizing? Hard boiled eggs or Boiled okra? I’ll take the okra over the eggs every day and can’t stand boiled okra.
  4. I’ll still watch The Hunt For Red October anytime I come across it on TV until it finishes. For the record, it’s the only movie I ever saw at the movie theater in Pampa, Texas. It was a cool theater… had stars painted on the ceiling if I remember right. . .
  5. The best smell in West Texas is always rain. The second best smell is what West Texas smells like after it finishes raining The third best smell is a tie. Feedlots and Oil Fields. All equal money.

Thanks for taking a minute to enjoy our Sunday musings. Add your own comments, heck add your own 5 Things. We’ll see you later today for Diamond Talk LIVE as we recap Texas Tech Baseball at WVU.
