Busy Friday so let’s get to it!
Last night Texas Tech MBB played a team with a pulse and it show. It took 20 minutes of action to figure some things out for the Red Raiders. They came back to tie it up at 77 after being down ten, but a buzzer-beater rimmed out and that was that, a 78-77 loss to St. Joes.
Not the worst thing in the world and we warned you on TDB last night this could happen.
In the words of Ford Prefect, “Don’t Panic”.
Tonight I expect them to look much better against a Syracuse team that lost to Texas Thursday night. We’ll see. Simple thought for me… don’t take so many 3’s and don’t give up so many 3’s and you’ll probably win a lot of games. Just thinking out loud here.
We finally get to make some predictions on this Texas Tech at Oklahoma State game tonight as well. Anything could happen. It’s Tech in Stillwater. We’ve seen this before. I lean Tech but not a strong lean. I’ll release my score tonight on TDB and y’all can start posting yours in the comments below. What’s the Game Script that Texas Tech needs to follow to get the win?

So last night’s game. Is “points in the paint” the basketball equivalent of “run the damned ball?” Seems to me that if we had just pounded the paint in the first half instead of throwing up so many 3s, we win that game. Feels like the script for this team is a heavy dose of Toppin to set up enough 3s to keep them off balance. The fish are in the hole, so to speak.
