Actually, Paramount+ time is more like it.
Texas Tech officials announced Monday that Texas Tech Football will be featured on a four-part docu-series produced by Paramount+. It will focus on the off-season. Luckily nothing weird and strange happened around the program this off–season…. Either way, it should make for a great recruiting weapon for Texas Tech. Prospective players will love it. If the older fans like it too, that’s a bonus.
It’s labeled as “unscripted”, and we all understand what that means. Anytime you’re aware there are cameras and microphones around, it’s never unscripted. We give you HBO’s “Hard Knocks” series for example. It should still be compelling and we can’t imagine Texas Tech allowing anything brutally negative to get out in public. So take it for what it is worth. A huge commercial for Texas Tech Football.
Thanks to Don Williams at the A-J, we got some actual football news as well Monday. Football news if you count a two-deep being publish. And we’ll count that on the final day of June for football news!
We’ll discuss all of that and much more tonight on The Daily Broadcast. One of the “much more” topics will be about sports you used to really be into and follow that you no long care about nearly as much these days. Things change. Players and athletes move on. With the start of Wimbledon, I’m reminded of how little I follow tennis now compared to twenty years or so ago. I suppose it has to do with top players retiring, but I think the game has fundamentally changed as well and isn’t as enjoyable. Tell us in the comments below which sports fall into that category for you and we’ll get into it on the show tonight.
