Happy Monday, Y’all !

Hello Open Week #2 for Texas Tech Football.

It’s gonna be great to sit back and watch the College Football Playoff picture come into focus just a bit more over the next week or two. Texas Tech has done all it can do for the most part, minus the loss at ASU and even if they’d won, not sure they’d be any higher in the rankings right now. So no need to worry as Tech controls its own destiny right now on the path to a Top 4 seed and a bye in the playoffs. Win two more games and Texas Tech will be the third seed we project.

So while the rest of the football world beats up on itself this week, Tech fans can catch their breath. At least when it comes to football… because later this week things really ramp up for Texas Tech MBB as they head to the Bahamas and a date with Wake Forrest and potentially the best team in the country right now in Purdue. Think the Illinois game was great prep for this week. Would be awesome for them to get an early season national skin on the wall unlike the last few years.

We’ll look at all of that plus a ton of NFL tonight on The Daily Broadcast. Is there a changing of the guard in the AFC when it comes to the Chiefs and Bills? Join us LIVE at 6:30 tonight on Twitter/X, Youtube, or Facebook. All platforms always FREE, so subscribe to everything and never miss a thing.

If somehow you missed our Saturday Raiderland Rewind, here ya go. . . a little something to kill time on a Monday morning as you get your week started.

Get your comments and questions ready to go for tonight and we’ll see you at 6:30.

Good, Bad & Ugly Recap

Each Monday we recap the weekend that was, Raiderland Style – with our longstanding tradition of The Good, Bad & Ugly recap. Started in 1994 with Don Williams on our old show…it’s the best way to figure out what all we just saw. Some things great, some not so great, some so ugly you just have to look away. We’ll give you a couple of ours, you fire away in the comments; then we’ll discuss in-depth on The Daily Broadcast tonight LIVE at 6:30.

G: Texas Tech HC Joey McGuire, for understanding how the hype game is played in 2025 when it comes to the Heisman Trophy. Great job getting Tech LB Jacob Rodriquez a TD lined-up at quarterback. And he did it early in the game when folks were still paying attention. Lot of coaches wouldn’t have done it. They don’t “Get It”.

B: Watching the slow erosion of the Kansas City Chiefs. The NFL is designed to drag you down. The Chiefs have held it off with a solid front office, good coaching and a guy named Patrick Mahomes. There’s only so much he can do right now though.

U: Tonight’s Monday Night Football match-up between Dallas and Las Vegas. Just pretend like it’s 1977 and this would be a great match-up. Sadly for fans of both, it’s 2025. Good night to watch the Hallmark Channel and see if we finally have a Christmas movie that doesn’t have a happy ending. . .
